Hello, I’m Daniel Root, son of the world renowned specialist in human detoxification, David E. Root, MD, MPH.
My intriguing journey began with a misreported plane crash in 1980 that led to a weeklong rumor of my death. This event sparked a turbulent period during which I delved into various substances. However, life took a positive turn when I moved to Sacramento in 1981 to support my father’s medical practice and participated in his pioneering sauna detoxification program.
This experience not only cleared my mental fog and enhanced my wellbeing, but it also ignited my passion for detoxification.
In the following years, I ventured into the IT field, founded a computer service company, and experienced family life through marriage and adopting three wonderful sisters. Unfortunately, my wife Suzy’s struggle with hyperthyroidism and the subsequent dissatisfaction with conventional treatments shifted our trust from traditional medicine towards a holistic understanding of health. This realization reaffirmed the value of my father’s detox methods, which inspired me to innovate and shorten the detox process.
Thus, “Detoxination®” was born—a term I coined to define our unique approach to eliminating toxins and enhancing health through an improved protocol utilizing Far Infrared (FIR) saunas and an optimized niacin regimen. Despite challenges, including operational setbacks and partnership hurdles, my commitment to spreading this protocol remained steadfast. By 2017, I established our own facility, offering a range of services designed to promote comprehensive wellness.
